Technical description of the product (MIKROE-1159):

The MIKROE-1159 is a smart programmable 2.8 inch touch display, packed with features. Mikromedia can be used for controlling a wide range of applications: from simple hobby projects, up to entire machine installations. It is powered by a dsPIC33EP512MU810 microcontroller unit, providing true power to build GUI-centric embedded applications. Applications include use as a development board but also as a final product. Use cases include industrial, medical, automotive and other dashboards and equipment. The TFT full-color display has a size of 2.8 inches and a resolution of 320x240px with an ILI9341 graphic controller. The Touch Screen is resistive. Architecture is dsPIC/PIC24 (16-bit). The MCU is a dsPIC33EP512MU810 with a speed of 70 MIPS, 512 KB of Flash, and 53248 bytes of RAM. Programming is via a preprogrammed fast USB HID bootloader. It also features a mikroProg for PIC, dsPIC and PIC32 connector. Storage includes 8 Mbit Serial Flash and a microSD card slot. Sound and Audio are provided by a VS1053 MPEG audio decoder. Peripherals include a USB connector, an Accelerometer, and a Battery Charger. Expandability via two 1x26 headers, mikromedia standard pinout. Integration via mounting holes. Input Voltage is 5V (via USB).
