The Mikroelektronika MIKROE-1446 CapSense Click add-on board features a CY8C201A0 capacitive sensing module. This module uses human body capacitance as input, providing real-time sensor information via I2C output. The board includes capacitive sensing elements (5-segment slider and two buttons) and two LEDs. The CY8C201A0 capacitive controller offers high immunity against radiated and conductive noise. It supports 3.3V or 5V power supply, determined by SMD jumper J1. Ideal for adding capacitive buttons and sliders to devices like printers, cellular handsets, LCD monitors, and portable DVD players. Key features include low operating current (1.5 mA continuous sensor scan, 4 µA deep sleep current), high sensitivity, immunity to RF and AC noise, and a robust sensing algorithm.
