The Mikroelektronika MIKROE-1486 FRAM Click board features the MB85RS256A, a 256 Kbit serial FRAM module from Cypress. Ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) is a non-volatile memory type with characteristics comparable to faster DRAM memory modules, offering a quicker alternative to conventional serial FLASH and EEPROM modules. This reliable and fast FRAM module writes data at bus speed, boasts an extremely high endurance of 10^10 read/write cycles, a data retention period of 10 years, and a very fast SPI interface.
