The Mikroelektronika MIKROE-1489 Altitude Click board features the MPL3115A2 MEMS pressure sensor. This sensor provides accurate pressure/altitude (20-bit) and temperature (12-bit) data, with a resolution down to 30 cm (1.5 Pa). The MPL3115A2 includes automatic internal data processing with data acquisition and compensation. It features a 32-sample FIFO buffer to minimize overhead and can autonomously collect data at programmed intervals, storing it for up to 12 days depending on the acquisition rate (1 second - 9 hours). The board uses an I2C communication interface and requires a 3.3V power supply. Ideal for smartphones/tablets, personal electronics altimetry, GPS systems, and weather station equipment.
