The Mikroelektronika MIKROE-1874 EXPAND 3 click board features the DS2408, an 8-channel programmable I/O expander. This port expander communicates with the target board MCU via a standard Dallas Semiconductor 1-Wire interface, supporting data rates of 15.3 Kbps or 100 Kbps. It is ideal for saving microcontroller pins and expanding the number of input-output lines, allowing multiple EXPAND 3 click boards to connect to the same data line. The board uses 1-Wire, GPIO, and SPI interfaces and operates with a 3.3V or 5V input voltage, compatible with mikroBUS. Its size is M (42.9 x 25.4 mm).
