The Mikroelektronika MIKROE-3439 Proximity 8 Click Board features the VCNL36687S, a highly accurate and power-efficient proximity sensor (PS) with an integrated VCSEL. This sensor, housed in a single package, utilizes advanced analog and digital frontend circuits for minimal power consumption and simplified operation. It supports triggering via a single I2C command. An advanced interrupt engine provides reliable MCU interrupt triggering with programmable persistence, preventing false reporting. The Proximity 8 Click is supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, simplifying software development. This fully tested Click board is ready for use on systems with a mikroBUS™ socket. Ideal for battery-operated, mobile, and IoT applications requiring low power consumption and reliable close-range PS detection. Key features include very low power consumption, VCSEL for red glow immunity, intelligent crosstalk cancellation, fast PS response, and a programmable interrupt engine with Logic Output mode.
