The Mikroelektronika MIKROE-3465 Proximity 9 click board is a highly accurate and reliable proximity sensing (PS) and ambient light sensing (ALS) device. It features the Vishay VCNL4040, an integrated PS and ALS sensor with Filtron™ technology, a 940nm IRED emitter, and a low noise analog front end. The VCNL4040 IC ensures precise measurements and provides a spectral response close to the human eye, offering background light cancellation. Its programmable interrupt engine optimizes firmware development, reducing MCU workload and power consumption. Supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, this Click board™ simplifies software development and is ready for systems with a mikroBUS™ socket. Applications include PC and laptop displays, POS displays, embedded displays, proximity-activated short-range security, and lux meters.
