The MIKROE-3690 is a Color 9 Click, a very accurate color sensing Click board, which features the APDS-9250, an IR and ambient light sensor, from Broadcom. It contains a specially designed matrix of photosensitive elements, capable of sensing red, green, blue, and IR components. Four low noise 18-bit ADCs ensure a high dynamic range, making this sensor suitable for use behind dark glass. This sensor offers a fast I2C interface for communication with the host MCU. It is perfect for sensing subtle light changes, as it is equipped not only with red, green, and blue (RGB) but also an infrared sensor, allowing very accurate measurement of the subtlest changes in light. Applications: This Click board is an ideal solution for LED lighting color management, ambient light sensing for display backlight control, TFT display color control, and other similar applications requiring accurate color and ambient light sensing.
