The DAC 4 Click board, MIKROE-3707, features Microchip’s MCP4728 IC, a Quad 12-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) with nonvolatile (EEPROM) Memory. It converts digital values to appropriate voltage levels (GND to VCC), proportional to the received 12-bit number. The MCP4728 integrates EEPROM for storing DAC register and configuration bit values, offering flexibility for accurate analog signal generation. Ideal for PLC/DCS modules, temperature and pressure control, medical and scientific instrumentation, chromatography, and other applications requiring precise digital-to-analog conversion. Key features include a high precision internal voltage reference, low power consumption, separately configurable channels, power-on reset (POR) circuit, high-speed I2C serial interface (up to 3.4 MHz), and fast settling time. Interface options are GPIO and I2C. Click board size M (42.9 x 25.4 mm). Input Voltage: 3.3V or 5V.
