Technical description of the product (MIKROE-82):
The IrDA board features the MCP2155 IrDA driver for implementing IrDA standard wireless connectivity. This driver handles the IrDA standard protocol stack and bit encoding/decoding. It is used in Data Communication Equipment applications, positioned between the UART and the infrared optical transceiver. The TFDU4101 diode is an infrared transceiver module compliant with the latest IrDA physical layer standard for fast infrared data communication.
