The Signalquest SQ-SEN-815B is a zero-power bidirectional tilt sensor, functioning as a position-sensitive switch. It is normally open when horizontal and normally closed below its switch angle. Designed to be non-sensitive to vibration in horizontal positions, the sensor settles in an open state when at rest horizontally. When tilted from vertical to the switch angle, it generates continuous on/off contact closures during motion. Below the switch angle and at rest, it settles normally open. Key functions include non-sensitivity to vibration when open, omnidirectional chatter when tilted or vibrated, and tilt up detection. Features include a bidirectional activation angle of 15° and -15°, an industrial rating for 10 years life from -40 to 85 °C, and zero-power consumption of less than 50 nA when activated.
